BCRP Intranet

Delivery

BCRP Intranet has been developed to allow it to be deployed at low cost to suit the needs of any Crime Reduction Partnership.

At its simplest, BCRP Intranet can be administered by a single CRP, liaising between its own Membership and a single Police force. The Police can continue to supply data to the CRP using traditional methods; the BCRP Intranet Administrator (a member of the CRP's existing staff) can then convert these items into a suitable format for inclusion on the Intranet. In this case, the Administrator is solely responsible for posting content to the Intranet.

Many CRPs are small and have no staff. In these cases, a single BCRP Intranet can be set up and administered by a staffed scheme and can allow designated 'Authors' in other, smaller unstaffed schemes to add, edit and delete content. This structure could be especially appropriate where, for example, a single Police authority wishes to implement a coordinated, integrated BCRP Intranet network to cover a large number of individual small CRPs.

Where a Police authority wishes to streamline the provision of data to CRPs in its area, a BCRP Intranet can be implemented to allow the Police to communicate to individual Partnerships with the same benefits that BCRP Intranet offers to CRPs in communicating to their Membership.

The implementation of BCRP Intranet involves setting up the Intranet, configuring it for the use of a specific Partnership and training the designated Administrator in its use. Thereafter, Littoralis provides a license for the use of the system, ongoing maintenance and support and unlimited bandwidth and storage for a fixed monthly charge.
